WE ARE READY TO MOVE INTO OUR REGULAR AGENDA AND OUR FIRST ITEM ON A REGULAR AGENDA TONIGHT IS COMING FROM PUBLIC WORKS AND DIRECTOR FREDERICKSON IS APPROACHING THE MIC, SO WE'LL SEND IT TO HIM.

WELL, THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE HERE TONIGHT.

UM, AS MENTIONED, THE FIRST ITEM THAT PUBLIC COURT HAS FOR CONSIDERATION IS A BID AWARD, AND THAT'S FOR THE BECKS EDITION WATER LINE IMPROVEMENTS.

AS YOU MAY RECALL, WE BID THIS PROJECT LAST SPRING, HOWEVER, IT WAS, UH, OVER THE ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE AND OVER BUDGETED AMOUNTS, AND SO WE HAD REJECTED THAT.

WE FINE TUNED THAT AND BROUGHT THAT BACK FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION THIS EVENING.

THE PROPOSED WORK WILL TAKE PLACE ON 22ND STREET, 23RD STREET, 24TH STREET BETWEEN SOUTH BOULEVARD AND UH, EMERSON AVENUE, AND THEN ALSO IN LEE AVENUE BETWEEN 22ND AND 24TH STREET.

THE WORK ITSELF INCLUDES VARIOUS ITEMS OF, UH, ROADWAY REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT, CURB, GUTTER SIDEWALK, THOSE TYPES OF THINGS.

UH, THE BULK, THE WORK IS 5,600 WINDIER STREET, THAT WATER LINE THAT'LL BE REPLACED AND ALSO 2,700 LINEAR FOR STORM LINE AS WELL.

THE LOW BID WAS SUBMITTED BY BIBE EXCAVATION LLC IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,198,644, WHICH IS WITHIN THE BUDGET AMOUNT FOR THIS PROJECT IN PUBLIC WORKS FOR RECOMMENDS AWARD.

I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE ONE CLARIFICATION ON THE MEMO.

IT DOES INDICATE THAT, UH, THE WATER DIVISION WILL BE PAYING FOR THIS WORK, WHICH IS LARGELY TRUE, BUT SOME, UH, THE COSTS WILL BE CHARGED TO THE STREET DIVISION AND THE WASTEWATER DIVISION AS WELL.

BUT I'D BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THERE MAY BE.

IN REGARDS TO THE YEAH, I'D JUST LIKE TO YOU TO KIND OF EXPLAIN TO THE PUBLIC ABOUT HOW WE REPLACE WATER LINES AND, AND HOW WE HAVE A SCHEDULE TO GET THROUGH THEM OVER, OVER YEAR, A YEAR SPAN.

YEAH, SO WITH OUR UH, WATER DIVISION, WE COLLECT RATES

ON A MONTHLY BASIS SO WE CAN PLAN FOR THESE MAJOR TYPES OF REPLACEMENTS AND OUR INTENTION IS TO GET THROUGH 1% OF OUR WATER LINE REPLACEMENT AND ANY GIVEN YEAR.

AND SO THIS IS ONE OF THE PROJECTS THAT HELPS US MOVE TOWARDS THAT END, UM, SO THAT WE CAN BEYOND OUR REPLACEMENT SCHEDULE.

SO IN OTHER WORDS, EVERY A HUNDRED YEARS WE'RE GONNA REPLACE THE WATER LINE.

UM, TEXT CHANGES TO THE MANUAL ARE, ARE MAINLY MINOR IN NATURE.

THEY UPDATE THE, THE LANE MILEAGE THAT WE MAINTAIN EQUIPMENT AND STAFFING.

I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT, UH, ONE ITEM IN THE TEXT THOUGH, UNDER PUBLIC VARIATIONS ON PAGE NINE AND 10, THE LAST PARAGRAPH HAS A CHANGE THAT WE'LL MAKE SURE THAT WE HAVE ADEQUATE NOTIFICATION AND IT REALLY, UM, INFORMS PEOPLE HOW TO SIGN UP FOR NOTIFICATIONS FOR SNOW REMOVAL, PARKING RESTRICTIONS.

SO THAT CHANGE IS NOW THAT THE PUBLIC IS DIRECTED TO TEXT SNOW IF TO 3 8 2 7 6 OR GO TO OUR WEBSITE AND CLICK ON THE SIGNUP BUTTON TO FOLLOW THOSE INSTRUCTIONS AND WE'LL HAVE MAILINGS AND ADVERTISEMENTS THAT'LL COVER THAT AS WELL.

I NOTICED THE RED LINES, IT WAS A LITTLE BIT HARD TO DISCERN, UM, AFTER ANNUAL COORDINATION WAS CONDUCTED WITH THE BONGO COUNTY ROAD BRIDGE DEPARTMENT PRIOR TO UPDATING OUR, UM, SNOW PRIORITY AND SNOW REMOVAL METHOD MAPS, WE HAVE THESE FOUR CHANGES THAT ARE BEING LOOKED AT OR PROPOSED.

THEY INCLUDE LESLIE AVENUE AND MCDELL DRIVE HAVE BEEN UPGRADED TO PRIORITY TWO STREETS THAT WILL BE PLOWED TO THE OUTSIDE 21ST STREET BETWEEN ODETTE AND SOUTH BOULEVARD WAS ALSO UPGRADED TO A PRIORITY TWO STREET AND WILL BE PLOWED TO THE OUTSIDE SOUTH.

CAPITAL BETWEEN PAN CARRY DRIVE AND BASALT STREET WAS CHANGED FROM BEING PLOWED TO ONE SIDE ONLY TO PLOWED TO THE OUTSIDE.

SO BASICALLY BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET.

AND THEN LASTLY, BELLEN ROAD BETWEEN PAN CUR DRIVE AND 17 SOUTH WAS CHANGED FROM PLOWED TO THE OUTSIDE TO ONLY ONE SIDE.

SO THAT'S TO ROLL IT TO THE EAST WHERE WE HAVE VERY FEW APPROACHES, UM, THAT WE WILL IMPACT IN THAT.

UM, THE RED LINE VERSION I WILL POINT OUT AS WELL THAT ITD MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THAT, INCLUDED IN THAT, UM, THERE WERE NO CHANGES TO THAT AGREEMENT, BUT I WOULD BE HAPPY TO EMAIL THAT TO ANYONE IF THEY'D LIKE TO SEE THAT OR DIRECT DIRECT YOU TO WHERE THAT'S AT IN THE UM, CITY'S WEBSITE.

YOU'RE IN THE COUNTY, YOU'RE IN THE CITY.

SO SOME OF THOSE ARE DESIGNATED THAT WHOEVER SHOWS UP FIRST LEAVES THE PLOW DOWN AND PLAZA.

AND THEN IN SOME AREAS WE MAY BE PLOWING COUNTY ROADS AND, AND VICE VERSA.

WHERE IT'S SIMPLER THEY MAY BE PLAN SIMILAR AS WELL.

YEAH, I I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU.

IN THE TIME THAT WE'VE BEEN ON THE COUNCIL, MICHELLE AND I, WE'VE SEEN ITERATIONS OF THIS AND WE REALLY, REALLY APPRECIATE YOU TOOK A PILOT APPROACH INITIALLY AND YOU KIND OF BUILT ON THIS AND IT'S SOMETHING WE DO SEE YOU COME BACK AND AND CHANGE AND THAT ITERATION IS WHAT MAKES US BETTER.

BEING ABLE TO MAKE THOSE PURCHASES ARE THINGS THAT YOU'VE APPROVED IN ANNUAL BUDGETS.

AND SO THAT'S HELPED US A GREAT DEAL.

SO WE DO APPRECIATE THE SUPPORT IN THAT.

AND ONCE SNOW HITS THE GROUND, UM, WE WOULD LOVE THAT IT WOULD ALL MELT, BUT IT DOESN'T, SO WE'VE GOTTA PUSH IT OFF THE ROAD.

SO WE APPRECIATE THE HELP THAT YOU ALL DO.

I WAS JUST GONNA COMMENT SOMETHING SIMILAR TO , WHICH IS I APPRECIATE YOU BRINGING THIS BACK TO US.

AND I WOULD APPEAL TO THE PEOPLE REMOVING THE SNOW THAT FOLKS THAT ARE GETTING THE, THE PARKING LOTS REMOVED TO REALIZE THAT'S PROBABLY PART OF THEIR CONTRACT WITH THAT AND THEY NEED TO BE GETTING SIDEWALKS AS WELL.

ANOTHER COMMENT AND THAT IS I ENCOURAGE THE PUBLIC TO READ THIS DOCUMENT AND IF YOU'RE IN A HURRY AND READING IT, JUST GO TO THE PRIORITIES.

THEY'LL BE HAVING THE BREAD THAT IS TRADITIONAL, THE MARITAL DISPLAYS AND THE ALTARS FOR PEOPLE'S FAMILIES OF THEIR PICTURES, OF THEIR RELATIVES.

AND SO THAT WILL BE HAPPENING AT THE WILLER COLONIAL OR WILLARD HEART CENTER.
